I am not sure where are you located but if you have any 2nd hand online market places, look for these devices.Belkin International, Inc., including all affiliates and subsidiaries (“Belkin”, “us” or “we”) thanks you for choosing one of our Belkin, Linksys or Wemo products (the “Product”). Get a 2nd hand linksys wrt1200 or r7000 or TP Link archer c9 (v1) I can not compare an R6400v2 with an R7000 at the moment, the last one I installed has been a while as I am only installing R6400v2 or R7800.įor me there is no place, value wise in the Netherlands, for an R7000 although it is an excellent router.Īwesome, thanks! I'll probably swoop one to give it a test pretty soon, and if all else, I'll use it as a guest router if it doesn't perform for everyday use as a client bridge. I have installed one in my 3 story concrete home (concrete floors, stone walls) on the first floor and 2,4 GHz has a good range in the whole house, of course 5 GHz is not, that is only working on the first floor and part of the second floor. In my opinion the R6400v2 is good value for money. If not, any recommendations for client bridge boxes that support the speeds of the R7000s I have already? So I see that now, and I checked R6400v2 prices online and they're like half the cost of R7000, so would you say it's safe to say that it would make a good client bridge to the R7000 APs I have now? Because I have a few PCs that are running Linksys E3000 client bridges, but if I can swoop a few R6400v2s to replace them and get way better speeds, I'mma go that route. Just had an interesting discussion with someone from Roemenia where an R7000 had the same price as an R7800, but an R6400v2 with the same CPU as the R7000 was way cheaper. Sure, there are "better" routers, but for the price to usage ratio, the R7000 shines great! If not, someone is most likely to reply with a idea. It's one of, if not the most, used routers for DD-WRT, so if something happens, most likely there is already an answer for that issue. I'd say a Netgear R7000 would do the work, and is readily available new or used (online), isn't overpriced (even new), and has lots of info on using it with 3rd party firmware like DD-WRT of course. ![]()
